So i called the dealer and got OEM parts ( thermostat and temp sensor). Seems to me that the most reasonable explanation for this would be that the sensor is bad. There should be a temperature sensor on the side of the transmission somewhere that sends a signal to your dash board readout. Look up year make and model and see if this is correct. Hope this helps. Like.
