The 30S conceal real nice and especially with the 9 round magazine. I've placed both IWB and the 30S was noticeably lighter and the 30 was noticeably thicker. Couldn't believe 4 oz and a smudge thicker could be noticed. At the range for me was a totally different experience. I shot both side by side and felt better control with the 30.The 30S is a gen 3 that has a slim slide and the “shortened” frame. Technically it’s a slimmer frame because I believe the width of the grip is marginally smaller horizontally if I’m not mistaken. The 30 gen 4 has the regular thick slide with the SF frame.
