In my opinion, Fatalis is one of longsword's best matchups and allows for plenty of counter opportunities and helmbreaker punishes.
Alatreon/Safi LS is not necessary, it only edges out a little bit against Fatalis but it does allow for more build options (2pc Goldian, etc.).
