Land as close to a gateway as you can eyeball. Then move your shuttle to the Gateway. It is very easily done and worst case, you have to run, grab, drop, run 3 or 4 times.So I guess the glitch is sort of the node being able to be created with less than 3 of the plugs having power running to them while unlocking the gateway.
